Valerie Benko - I am a former news writer turned freelance writer living in western, Pennsylvania with my husband. I have worked in news since high school, writing for both my school and college newspapers. After graduation I accepted a position with the New Castle News with whom I interned. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and creative writing. I am currently expanding my writing to include fiction and creative non-fiction.
